I have a question!
When I introduce myself, i always use "kenalkan".
I had no question about this word, but suddenly i am wondering of this word.
Kenalkan is from the word memperkenalkan? atau mengenalkan?
And is it ok that i don't add me- infront of kenalkan?
Please explain it.
Sometimes indonesian grammar is too difficult.

'Kenalkan' derived from word 'kenal'. You can add me- infront of 'kenalkan' when you are introduce someone to another.
Ex: Saya ingin mengenalkan seorang temanku kepadamu
I want to introduce my friend to you
Some variations to introduce yourself in Bahasa:
- Perkenalkan, nama saya...
- Kenalkan, saya... (unformal)
- Nama saya... senang mengenalmu,

"Kenal" is the basic word. Then you add the prefix and suffix.
kenal + /-an/ = kenalkan
/mem-/ + /per-/ + kenal + /-kan/ = memperkenalkan
/me-/ + kenal + /-kan/ = mengenalkan ("k" here is changed because of the prefix)
Grammatically, the added prefix or suffix or prefix+suffix changes the meaning.
You can't use "Memperkenalkan diri, nama saya ~"
but you use "Kenalkan, nama saya ~"
I think you can use "Saya memperkenalkan diri saya padanya."
Or like tirah said before "Saya ingin memperkenalkan diri saya. Nama saya~"
To be honest, I'm not sure the different usage between "memperkenalkan" and "mengenalkan". Bahasa Indonesia teacher.... a little help please? ^_^;

Terima kasih atas jawaban Anda.
Bolehkah pakai seperti ini?
"Memperkenalkan diri, nama saya ~"
Kadang-kadang saya sangat bingung karena bahasa indonesia suka yang pendek.
Terima kasih lagi :)

it's right to use "kenalkan" when you introduce yourself.
kenalkan is from the word "kenal"
"memperkenalkan/mengenalkan" is used if you introduce someone (not you) to other people.
are you still confused use it?
