Some college students choose to take courses in a variety of subject areas. Others choose to focus on a single subject. Which approach do you think is better?


Well, I think it is better for students to take courses in a variety of subject areas. Firstly, because, (The first reason for it is that) taking various courses can help students find what they love and get more job opportunities. If you take a course in computer science and you like it, you may want to work in Apple Company. If you take a course in food nutrition and enjoy it, you may want to join in McDonalds and help them develop a new menu. Secondly,because, taking various courses is a good way to broaden our knowledge.  Meanwhile, we can meet people from different fields and make friends with them. In this way, we can widen our eyesight further, and build a strong network.

Your essay is very good! You don't have any serious mistakes. The only think I don't like is words like "secondly" and "because". In my opinion it's better to use any other constructions  bacause sentences with these words seem to be separated from the previous one. But in spite of it, you've done a great job! ;)
