Aging problem cause unpredictable effects on both individuals and society
There is no doubt that aging has become a huge problem not only to individuals but for society. Youth stands for energy and dynamic who is the core driving force to push the city go ahead. In contrast it is due to the sharply rising of aging people, both society and individuals face unexpected problems.
It is inevitable to become old. Since that, individuals may suffer from illnesses which seem far away when they are young, such as heart diseases and high-blood pressure. Also, old people may feel lonely due to they possess abundant time, but without various colorful activities. Busy as working may seem, but it makes our life rich and meaningful. Leisure time encourages elders to enjoy their life, but it is also responsible to make elders feel that they lose the value in society. Therefore, aging not only effect individuals’ physical health, but their mental health.
On the other hand, aging problem also causes some social matters. The increasing percentage of aging people reduces the workforce which is the main part giving push to urban development. It is necessary to give special care to elders, which also means government has to increase the inputs in social welfare to aging people rather than economic booming. A city is filled with elders may lose energy and dynamic result from aging people prefer slow and leisure lifestyle.
Above all, aging is an unavoidable trend, arousing public’s attention. To make elders life more colorful, convenient and comfortable at the same time do not cause issues to social progress, there are a great deal things to be done.
