Nasalisation in French / Nasalisation en français
French is comparable to Portuguese on one important feature: nasalisation.
As in "mão de ferro" (PT) = "main de fer" (FR) = "iron fist", but literally "hand of iron".
Thus perfecting your pronunciation of French nasal sounds such as "un" (a, one), "demain" (tomorrow), "jardin" (garden), "fluorescent" (fluorescent), "embêtant" (annoying, irritating) and "citadin" (city-dweller), will be of primary importance for you to be understood.
