<em>The mistake was because you didn't accord the noun "figlia" - female, with the correct gender of the possessive adjective:</em>

 

<em>- Figlio (son), sing. m.           "il mio figlio"</em>

<em>- Figlia (daughter), sing. f.     "la mia figlia"</em>

<em> - Figli (sons), pl. m.              "i miei figli"</em>

<em>- Figlie (daughters), pl. f.      "le mie figlie"</em>
