Learning Arabic is not easy. I can even start to describe what I feel when I see the alphabet. But lets start with the basics.
A simple greeting and only greeting I know so far.

Maa Ismuki means how are you if the other side is femal
You have to say maa ismuka to the male

some people learn a language the way one would learn it in a school setting others learn it through conversation and learning phrases and their meanings- grammar comes naturally after that. You should really learn the alphabet then go ahead and learn how to say things before you go and attempt to write anything if you are still freaked about how the letters look.
