Disastrous journeys! It happened two weeks ago. I went with my boyfriend to London, we stayed there for a week. We had prepared the trip, so we had downloaded some applications like maps. First, we arrived at Gatwick airport, and took a train from Gatwick to London, this part of the journey was fine because the flight was on time and we foung the platform effortless. But, my first 45 minutes in London were a nightmare. We are starting our applications and unexpectedly they didn't work without Wi-fi, we were lost without maps. We knew the way from Victoria Station to the hotel was very simple, only turn in a corner in front of the station; unfortunately we turned right instead of left and went to Lower Belgrave Street in place of Belgrave Road. We were very exhausted for the flight, and were dragging our baggage, to make things worse the wheels of my baggage began to work wrong. Lastly, a charming Londoner saw our frightened faces and told us the right way. When we arrived to the hotel I took an old map and we embarked upon on the best journey that I've ever done.

Disastrous journeys!

It happened two weeks ago. I went with my boyfriend to London and we stayed there for a week. We had prepared for the trip by downloading some applications like maps.

First, we arrived at Gatwick airport, and took a train from Gatwick to London.  This part of the journey was fine because the flight was on time and we found the platform effortlessly. But, our first 45 minutes in London were a nightmare. We started our applications and unexpectedly they didn't work without Wi-fi, and we were lost without maps. We knew the way from Victoria Station to the hotel was very simple - just turn in a corner in front of the station; unfortunately we turned right instead of left and went to Lower Belgrave Street in place of Belgrave Road. We were very exhausted from the flight, and were dragging our baggage.  To make things worse, the wheels on my baggage [began to work wrong. -this isn't incorrect but it's a little awkward.  We'd probably say "weren't working right" or "something was wrong with the wheels on my suitcase."]

Finally, a charming Londoner saw our frightened faces and told us the right way. When we arrived at the hotel I took an old map and we embarked upon on the best journey that I've ever had.

Nice work, Laura.  I'm glad you had a good trip after all.  :)

Disastrous journeys!

It happened two weeks ago. I went with my boyfriend to London, we stayed there for a week. We had prepared for the trip, so we had downloaded some applications apps like such as maps. (like is OK but such as sounds better)

First, we arrived at Gatwick airport, and took a the train from Gatwick to London, this part of the journey was fine because the flight was on time and we found the platform effortlessly. But, the first 45 minutes in London were a nightmare. We are starting our applications and unexpectedly We tried to use the apps we had downloaded but they didn't work without Wi-fi, so we were lost without a map maps. We knew the way from Victoria Station to the hotel was very simple, only turn in a corner in front of the station; (I don't understand what you are saying here) unfortunately we turned right instead of left and went to turned onto Lower Belgrave Street instead of Belgrave Road. We were very exhausted from the flight, and were dragging our bags/luggage (not baggage), to make things worse the wheels of my bag began to work wrong. stopped working/began to break.

Finally, (lastly implies what happened next also went wrong) a charming Londoner saw our frightened faces and told us the right way. When we arrived to the hotel I took an old map and we embarked upon on the best journey that I've ever done.
