It has been two years since I left my home country to live abroad It has been two years since I left my home country to live abroad. I wasn't really happy when I lived in Korea. Everything seemed to be boring to me as I had lived in Korea for more than 20 years at that time or by the time I felt bored. (Is it correct to say at that time or by the time? I am confused with this! Help me out with this please.) So I decided to live abroad and looked for some opportunities. I found a program that was offered by my home university and I applied for it and luckily I got accepted. Afterwards, I went to Istanbul to study for a year and I really had a great time there. I met so many nice people from all over the world. After one year of studying in Istanbul, I came to Germany to do my internship. I am currently working for a small trading company near Frankfurt. What I plan to do after my internship is over is to travel to Southeast Asia instead of going back to my home country which is Korea. It seems I am not happy with my country but anyway I should go back to Korea to carry on my studies. I am hoping to study my masters degree here in Germany. I have lots of plans in my mind. There seem to be lots of opportunities for me out of Korea. This is the reason I keep moving towards.

It has been two years since I left my home country to live abroad.

I wasn't really happy when I lived in Korea.

Everything seemed to be boring to me as I had lived in Korea for more than 20 years at by that time. [We say "by that time" here, because you're making a reference to the period of time that came before].

So I decided to live move abroad and looked for some opportunities.

I found a program that was offered by my home university and I applied for it and luckily I got accepted.

AfterwardsAs a result, I went to Istanbul to study for a year and I really had a really great time there.

I met so many nice people from all over the world.

After one year of studying in Istanbul, I came to Germany to do my internship.

I am currently working for a small trading company near Frankfurt.

What I plan to do after my internship is over is to travel to Southeast Asia instead of going back to my home country which is Korea.

It seems I am not happy with my country but nevertheless anyway I should go back to Korea to carry on my studies.

I am hoping to study my masters degree here in Germany. I have lots of plans in my mind. There seem to be lots of opportunities for me outside of Korea. This is the reason I keep moving away towards.

Cool - I live in Berlin so I hear a lot of Turkish (and eat a LOT of Turkish food). I'd like to learn a little bit so I can impress the man when I buy my Simit and Baklava...

Great post! You've really moved around a lot - did you learn any Turkish in Istanbul? I've made just a couple of corrections below, let me know if you have any questions! Also have a look at my teacher's profile if you feel like taking some professional lessons :).
