What does "cogs in a wheel" mean and how does one use it? An example of that would be much appreciated.The workers in Shenzhen are just cogs in the wheel of China's massive industrial expansion.
Punctuation! The forward quotation mark - space before, no space after it. The final quotation mark - no space after, except if it is followed by a comma or period:
"Now I understand!", said Manman. Daniel replied, "I am glad I can be of service."

It is when something is necessary but can be easily replaced. For example, a worker in a factory could be considered a cog in a wheel because although his job is necessary, if he is fired he can be easily replaced by another person because his job is not highly specialized or complicated.
