Gratitude Exercise - A Unique Idea to Change Our Lives
Yesterday, I was browsing some webpages on internet just to kill time. Unexpectedly, I came across a page, which described the use of gratitude exercises to change our lives. The concept instantly caught my attention and I went through all the points mentioned on that page. Today, I would like to share this concept with you.
Right since our birth, we receive so many things from universe like food, shelter, clothes, cars, parents, life partner, happiness, love, music, arts, health, strength, mental abilities, and so on. The list is never ending. Right from the time we wake up in the morning till we go to bed, we keep receiving so many things from universe. We take all these things for granted and we never remain grateful to the universe or the creator. This mean behavior blocks the doors of our fortune and we stop receiving better things from the universe. We get trapped into various situations that lead to sorrow, depression, fear, discontentedness, unfulfilled desires, etc. If we wish change all these bitter things into better ones, we need to be grateful to universe for all the presents we are getting from it. Then all the things start falling into place and our lives get improved. Friends, this is not only about positive attitude or changing our own attitude only. It is something bigger, so much so, that you can't even imagine. As we start interacting with universe with gratefulness, it responds to us in the same way fulfilling our lives with happiness. This concept has successfully changed lives of so many people.
Simple exercises have been given on that webpage. One import exercise is to say "thank you" to the people who help you in some way or the other. Another exercise, which needs to be done at the bedtime, is to list down five good things that happened to you during whole day and be thankful for them to the universe. There are other exercises also like writing a thanksgiving letter to someone or visiting them in person to thank them. If you want more information in this regard, you can search it on Google or you can see videos related to this concept on Youtube. In my opinion, this is a very good idea and it is worth trying. What do you say? Suggestions and corrections are always welcome.

Great ideas, Sameer. Thank you!
* I think connecting these parts of the sentence with "that" rather than "which" flows better. "Which" is better to start an independent clause (example: "I came across a page describing gratitude exercises, which I found interesting").
** I don't think "mean" is the best word here. Maybe "this kind of callous behavior" or "this thoughtlessness."
