Describing the life cycle of honey bee The diagram gives information about various stages of the life cycle of the honeybees. In general, it takes 34-36 days to complete a whole cycle, and we can see there are 5 stages of the life history of the honeybee, from egg to mature insect. The life cycle starts with adult feels producing 1-2 eggs on a regular basis of 2-3 days. Then, 9-10 days after eggs are laid, new born bees, which are still far from their maturity, are hatched. Before honey bees reach maturity, they moult 3 times. Normally, the moulting first occurs 5 days after honey bees are born. The next moulting stage took place 7 days later and the last one 9 days later, when a nymph is developed into a young adult. In a time frame of 4 days, a young adult bee grows into maturity.

Hi Louis,

You are provided a very detailed description of the metamorphosis of honey bees. Do take note that you are describing a recurring cycle, as I noticed that you used past tense (eg moulting stage took place 7 days later). It should be in the present tense.

Cheers,
