Article summary First of all, young doctoral students are facing poverty due to precarity. Their situation led to an unproper study conditions during their the thesis study. Furthermore, the problem is not only in life expenses, more than that, the recruiting systel is the "big" issue. The National COuncil of University grants each year one quarter of doctoral students in one field during its recruitment compaign. These circumstances head to an increasing competition between students. To continue their studies, in one year, they need to work in different jobs as fixed-term contract waiting to get a real position. In this instable situation, they cannot make plans for future. To conclude, starts-up and pharmaceutical industry are more likely to hire doctoral students still, these organisations prefer to hire master students to avoid investing in a doctoral student.
