Questions about percents in English
Hello everyone,
I have a question:
In English, when talking about percents, can we say:
- Group 1 *comprises* 30% of all participants
- Group 2 *is* 20% of all the participants
- Group 3 *makes* 20% of all participants
- The rest of participants form Group 4.
Are the above sentences correct?
Thank you in advance.
PS:
- additional 5 participants *take* 3 more percent.
thank you!

Jan, thank you!
Greg, thanks! In Group 4, it's not a typo, I meant "form", like in "we formed a big team".
And one last question please?
Would "take ...%" be okay too?
E.g.: additional 5 participants *take* 3 more percent.

For 'Group 3', I would say, "Group 3 *makes UP* 20%..."
And typo in the last sentence, "...participants fROm Group 4".
