In Peru we don't use it, but we will automatically know that a Mexican or someone who learned Mexican Spanish said it :)

En España no usamos "está padre" pero sí "algo de padre y muy señor mío", que se usa para enfatizar algo o para expresar que algo es muy grande: "Un lío de padre y señor mío"

In Chile we don't use it frequently, but Mexican slang and/or idioms are well known.
Also 'está padrísimo', 'está de pelos', 'chido', etc.
