Could you teach me these two sentences are natural English or not?
I'd studied a year of textbook Japanese at college and was eager to improve my conversation skills.
Our plan was to speak each language on every other day.

There are no errors in your sentences. It all feels natural, if a little staccato. Some people might feel "conversational skills" flows a little better, but many would prefer it as you have it. "Each language on every other day" is correct but a little demanding for the reader. Would " ... on alternate days" be clearer? Or something longer, like "Our plan was to alternate, speaking each language on every other day."
