It is very common to see a person who is bilingual or trilingual on italki personal profiles. It usually happens to European or American.
I really admire those guys, and I always very curious about how they did that.
Someone in my country may say that all the European languages are similar. Once you grasp one, it will become very easy for you to understand the others. But I don't think so. I've seen the differences between German and English. That's totally from two worlds!
I read a passage about how to learn Spanish earlier. It said that a Chinese will need about 4 years to achieve C1 level, but a person in the US may only need 2 years. Not only for the Americans, but also the Asian who learn Spanish in the US.
What makes the difference? Do they have a special way to learn a new language?
