Yes, we have to hurry (be quick/ fast)

"Quick" indicates rapid response or rapid motion. There is no necessary connection to hurrying or not hurrying. At times it can mean NOT hurrying. For example, if I want to photograph a small rapidly moving bird, I need to watch the bird patiently and wait for the precise moment when I can QUICKLY capture the perfect shot. As I do this, I am being quick, but also I am being careful not to hurry.
