“The Inbetweeners Movie” is one of my favorite movies. *What's the movie about? Based on the British sitcom with the same title, “The Inbetweeners,” this movie centers on four close friends--Will, Simon, Jay and Neil--and their high school graduation trip to Malia, Crete. (These boys are so-called “inbetweeners” because they are neither popular nor outcasts.) Their main goal in this trip is to get girls’ attention that they’ve never had before and, hopefully, "fool around with" them. Striking it lucky, the boys spot a group of four attractive girls, who don’t mind hanging out with them, at the worst bar in the city. So now, they try to win their hearts. *How does it end? Long story short, the movie ends with a happy ending: the boys become a bit better people during this trip and eventually succeed in making the girls fall for them. I guess the boys being less pretentious and more honest with their feelings changed the girls’ minds. *Why do you like it? I like this film because it reminds me of what it's like to be a teenage boy: doing stupid things with friends, trying their best to get drunk and desperately chasing girls. In hindsight, all those things are pretty silly, but those are what make teenage boys teenage boys. You're only young once, right? Anyway, it’s always nice to feel young vicariously through great coming-of-age movies like this!
