Professional TeacherYour communication style is influenced by your personality.
I’ve probably spoken to thousands of students across my career. I have observed patterns and habits—be they verbal or non-verbal—based on the personality of the student. The way we communicate is a reflection of our values, our environment, our communication style, and even our choices.
The great thing about this is that it changes. It is influenced by how we interact and respond to our environment and even other people. A very good example is that introverted people tend to be calmer in conversations, and they are very good listeners, too. On the other hand, extroverts are more gregarious and animated in the manner in which they speak, which is great for storytelling.
So, what is your communication style, then?
