I'm currently focusing on Japanese. As a Puerto Rican, most people ask why on earth I'm learning such a hard language, and one no one speaks in the island. This is my reason: when I was very little I made friends with a Japanese girl. Years later, we are still friends, like sisters. I grew up listening to her use Japanese and it felt natural and familiar to me. As a result, my whole family know a little bit of Japanese, too! I want to learn it because I feel a special connection to it and it is also a beautiful language!

If someone ask why I'm learning English, I'd like to say I'm learning English because it will be easy to connect with foreign friends. Wherever we are going it's not a problem almost. Because English is an international language spoken in all the countries in the world. So it's easy to connect with others.Furthermore in here when we working at the schools or other places almost all the people are using English. Even in some private schools and international schools the education is been given in English. I like reading.But many valuable magazines, books and novels are written in English.In addition to most of the Asian countries, English is use to show their state.So above facts are motivation to learn English for me.I love to learn languages without any pressure.Fluent in English will be helpful for getting a job easily. So it's really helpful for a successful future. italki is providing us a creative platform us to jumping with natives.

I am learning albanian because not only do I find the country and language incredibly beautiful, but I find that here in the US, not many people even know this country exists! And if they do, they have a very negative stereotypical view about it. I want to learn albanian because I hope to connect deeply with some of the most thoughtful, inviting and hospitable people I have ever met, who welcomed me with open arms despite the ethnic barrier ( I am Dominican) - and what better way to do that than with language. <3

I'm learning English in order to collaborate with my colleagues in a new job. I'm so happy that I have opportunity to have lessons with such great and talented teachers.

I am Learning French cause I love Canada and it is my dream to marry a quebecoise (even tho I do not know any yet haha) it is not a very exciting story but I have a very genuine love for this language and this culture.
