💬 Both mean “is / are / am” — but they’re used differently!

1️⃣ “Aanu” (ആണ് / Aanu) → used for nouns / identity
👉 Used when saying what something is.
🗣️ Examples:
• Ith oru pucha aanu → This is a cat 🐈
• Njan Shilpa aanu → I am Shilpa 👩💻
• Avar teacher aanu → They are teachers 👩🏫

2️⃣ “Und” (ഉണ്ട് / Undu) → used for existence / possession
👉 Used when saying something exists or you have it.
🗣️ Examples:
• Enikku oru pen und → I have a pen 🖊️
• Vellam und → There is water 💧
• Avide oru shop und → There is a shop there 🏪

If it’s about what something is → use aanu
If it’s about what exists or you have → use und
