What's the difference between "思い出す" and "覚える"?
①思い出す is to remember or recall something that had been previously forgotten, or that was experienced in the past.
ex.
I just remembered that I was asked by my mother to do some shopping for her yesterday.
ex.
I know I've heard this song before, but I can't recall the title.
②覚える is to fix something in one's memory
and try not to forget it.
ex.
Do you remember me?
ex.
I'm good at memorizing kanji.
By the way, I took this photo in Tobu world Square that located in Tochigi prefecture.
You can see more than one hundred 1:25 scale models of world's well known buildings and historic relics there!!
About 140,000 " miniature people" are cute as well!!!
