This is difficult to answer, but it includes different stress on certain words:
Magazine, English stress on 3rd syllable American 1st syllable.
The 'r' is rarely pronounced in English, more noticeable in American.
The final 'e' is more often pronounced in American: furore, psyche,
Iraq, Iran, Italian, the 'I' pronounced /ai/ in American, /i/ in English...

Hi motec, I think what's interesting is that most learners can't really tell the difference between American, British, Canadian, Australian, and other accents. So don't worry about it too much. The different accents will not usually keep you from understanding things.
Also, it is complicated to answer because there are many different American accents and an even greater variety of British accents.
The main difference is how the vowels are pronounced, but this is too hard to explain in writing and, anyway, it is also very hard for learners to hear these differences.
I can think of a few words that are well-known for being pronounced differently in standard American and standard British accents. It doesn't mean that ALL American or British people say them this way though. British people, if I get any of this wrong just jump in.
1. schedule
American = skedule
British = shedule
2. herb
American = erb
British = herb
(But this is also "erb" in at least one well-known British accent)
3. Z (not a word, just a letter)
American = zee
British = zed
There are many more but that's all that comes to mind right now.
