「つう」は「ていう」が短くなった言い方です。どちらかといえば東京弁だと思います。

「何つうの」: 有可能应该说“怎么说呢”。「何つうの」是创的词。所以不是正式的。上楼的说明对。

It would be translated as "How can I say that...?", which is colloquial expression.
That's a sort of dialect. Normally we would say "何て言うか(な)" or "どう言えばいいか(な)"
