S.O.B. = Son Of a Bitch
A bitch is a female dog.
Sometimes you will just see it as SOB
This is a bad insult if you call somebody else an S.O.B. (DO NOT USE IT!)
A person might use it to refer to themselves ("I'm a lazy S.O.B.") if they are admitting to some fault that they themselves would get rid of if they could.

As stated earlier, s.o.b. is short for a vulgarity. In casual English it's not uncommon to use vulgarities to emphasize sentences ... Just as long as you're around the right people, I wouldn't advise speaking like that around your friend's parents.
