As fdmaxey explained ,it could be both countable and uncountable as the case with many other nouns.

If you use it to mean the study or collection of technologies, it is uncountable.
When it refers to a particular technological concept, it is uncountable.
"Technology has improved most peoples lives." (uncountable)
"Using new drilling technology, they were able to access the oil deposits." (countable)

music, art, love, happiness
advice, information, news
furniture, luggage
rice, sugar, butter, water
electricity, gas, power
money, currency
