I enjoy "the“ darkness. To write or not to write?
Can you tell me when should i use the word "the"?

If you are speaking in general, you would usually use "darkness".
If you were talking about someone's specific experience, you would usually use "the darkness."
Examples:
Specific - "He looked out into the darkness." "He reached about for his weapon, cursing the darkness."
General - "Darkness fell on the city." "At any moment, half the earth is in darkness."
"Being near the Arctic Circle in December, the town was in darkness for 22 hours of each day."
There are many times when either one can be used - in that case, I agree with Cherry. "The darkness" is more poetic.
