Can I say " a people"?
I read "Is there a relationship between a people and the land they originate from?" in a book. Is it correct to say "a people"?

i think a people mean nation when you add (a) with it

Yes, it is correct when it refers to a distinct ethnic or cultural group... the Maya, for instance, are a people. "People" is this sense is generally used in a historical, scientific, or political context.

i think a person is right,but whether a people is right or not,i am not sure.according to me ,it is wrong.
