Inhabitant = a person or animal that is a permanent resident of a particular place or region. Habitant = a less common word for inhabitant. Solve = to find a solution to or to work out a correct solution to (a problem). Resolve = to reach a decision or make a determination / to remove or dispel (doubts)/ to bring to a usually successful conclusion: resolve a conflict.
