How do you normally saying "I finished highschool(高校)" in Japanese?

単純に訳すと、“私は高校が終わった。”ですが、青いカラスさんが何を言いたいのかによって意味は変わってくると思います。私は単純に、私は学校が終わったからどこどこに行こう、友だちと遊びに行こう、という意味で理解したのですが、 卒業した=graduateという意味ではないですよね?
