Nono is the Italian word for grandfather, it is also a Latin boy's name meaning 9th born. It is also used as a Japanese girl's name.
If you want a more English sounding name, may I suggest Nina/Narelle/Nicole/Nikki etc?

It generally sounds Japanese, but depending on one's age, it could remind someone of the little cartoon robot (Nono) from Ulysses 31:

Generally, it sounds "cute".

Hi :) I think your name is pretty :) It reminds me such name as Nina.
Does your name mean something in your native language?
Good Luck!

@ Jura: "nonno" is the Italian word for grandfather, not "nono". Bye.
