What does 'hope your good over there' mean?

I believe they were trying to say: Hope you are doing good over there.
That means that they are asking if you are doing well and are healthy, since they said 'over there', your friend must live a far distance away from you?

it means the person is saying that he hopes everything is ok with you and with the phrase "over there" I think he is referring the to the fact that this some type of long distance comment.
