1. If you are already at the shop, you want to say you're 'in' the department. "In the grocery department"; "In the clothing department".
2. I would say: I highly recommend you take a lot of money with you if you ever go shopping in this country. I strongly advise you to visit the clothing department if you are in this supermarket. (BUT only say 'in this supermarket' if you are actually there! If not, say 'at that supermarket'.)
3. This sentence was correct, but 'wacky' is a strange word choice... Maybe 'funky' would be better?
4. "I also found some butchers, greengrocers and bakeries on Liberty street." Note that 'greengrocer' is only British. In the USA, you might say 'vegetable stand' or 'produce store' or something.
5. I hope that my story wasn't boring.
6. "I was thinking of buying a small hadficraft for him according to his star sign, but when I saw a flowery sweater for people with conservative tastes, I finally decided what is the best give for him." Ok... I think you can technically use 'handicraft', but it is an odd choice. I think 'gift' might be better. I would re-word as follows: "I was thinking of buying him a small gift according to his star sign, but when I saw this conservative flowery sweater, I decided it is the best gift for him."
