the difference between division and department
Could anyone tell me the difference between division and department in university? which one is bigger. i'm confusing about those two words coz the meanings in Chinese are same.

They're basically the same in English, too. Division is more of a general term, interchangeable with something like "section." Department is much more commonly used as an official title. Someone would say "I'm a department head" before saying "I'm a division head." But if you were to say, "I'm with the math division" no one would be confused.
