Merry Christmas = Frohe Weihnachten Happy New Year = Frohes Neues Jahr If you have still 2011 but the party already started you would say: Guten Rutsch Im not sure how to translate this. Literally it means "have a good slide" but for younger people it just means "party hard" and for older ones its a polite phrase they are happy to hear. Guten Rutsch Alejandra
