why do you pronounce 합니다 as hamnida instead of habnida?

"합니다" sounds like "/함니다/" because the pat'chim 'ㅂ' is pronounced as 'ㅁ' before 'ㄴ' We call it "consonant assimilation(자음동화)" \^o^/
