I would like to say it depends in what context you are saying "谢谢你看得起我", There are only two situations I can think of at the moment in which we would use this sentence...
The first scenario: when others look down on you , you are treated with contempt, you might say this to someone who are not treating you like a dirt, something like "Thank you for treating me like an equal" or "Thank you for treating me as a person"(shaking hands and saying 终于找到组织了.....)
The second scenario: when you boss or superior think highly of you and decide to give you bigger tasks to fill up your day or give you a promotion, you can say "thanks for your thinking highly of me"(shaking hands, having tears in your eyes and saying 谢谢组织的赏识.....)
Hope this helps!
