Is there an Italian saying like the English: 'My eyes were bigger than my stomach' for when you thought you were more hungry than you turned out to be?

Also here we say "Avere gli occhi più grandi dello stomaco".
esempio: "pensavo di avere più fame, ho avuto gli occhi più grandi dello stomaco"
