What is function of particle "ne" like Ganbatte ne! in Japan

In this case it means you soften the message, ganbatte! it sounds a bit serious, so at the end you put "ne" to soften it.

it is used for repeating a yes/no question.
ta shi zhongguoren ma? (is he/she chinese)
shi. ta shi zhongguoren. (yes, he/she is chinese)
ni ne? (and you?)
