Colleges make ordinary people (pebbles) better by educating them (polishing them) but they make brilliant people (diamonds) worse, I suppose by stifling their creativity and imagination and making them the same as everyone else.

But it makes smart people or creative! Worse, by limiting their creativity and imagination and making them a copy of others
