What's the figurative meaning of " Well, I`ve been around a long time" ?... Here is the context:
Everybody wanna know/
Why I sing the blues/
Well, I`ve been around a long time/
I really have paid my dues/
(from the song "Why I Sing the Blues", by BB King)

It basically means "I'm old." "Been around" kind of means "been here" = "He estado aqui." He means he is old and has experienced a lot in life, kind of what the "I really have paid my dues" line means too.
