How to remember the English words quickly and accurately?

I have a perfect solution.
When learning 'new words', you can assign them to 'old words', and make something like 'memory note'. In that way, you don't need to remember the new word, but only remember the word you already know, and the new word will fly in to your mind, always.
That's how I do it, learn words not on their own, but in combinations, new with old, it really is helpful.
Hope you understood what I mean.
Example.
New word -"apt"- how to remember it and use it?
Easy, I make a short phrase, like this -"I'm apt to do it"-
Remembering that simple phrase, I can always remember that word, when I want to express something, thus the word gets deeper and deeper in my mind.
If you try to remember one word on it's own, it's hard for mind, because there hasn't been made any associations with it in brain, especially for new words, so try to use this technique.
Hope you find this somewhat useful.
Good Luck Mr. Connor.
