how to say "she is my friend" in German "Sie ist meine Freundin"means she is my girlfriend.But how to say "she is my friend" in German? thx~

Yes, normally I'd say (in my case as a female):Mein Freund hat gesagt... My boyfriend said... But: Ein Freund von mir hat gesagt... A friend of mine said... Das ist ein Freund vs. Das ist mein Freund (boyfriend). So when talking about your girlfriend use the possesive pronoun, when talking about a friend use the indefinite article.

Sometimes people use "sie ist meine Freundin" and "sie ist (nur) eine Freundin" to make the difference clear. When talking about a third person, "die Freundin von X" vs. "eine Freundin von X". In principle, "sie ist meine Freundin" and "die Freundin" can mean both "girl-friend" and "just a friend". One has to figure it out from the context. Usually it's not a problem.
