What's the meaning of 'That's the deal'?
I have encountered to this sentence in one of Shakira's song which is called "Whenever, wherever".
Here are four lines from that song:
"Whenever, wherever
We're meant to be together
I'll be there and you'll be near
And that's the deal my dear"
Thanks in advance.

The person is expressing their love for the other person. It means 'This is the situation, this is how I feel'. It's a summary of the situation between them.

The expression "that's the deal" is a summary of the preceding description. It is meant to signal an end of the message. It insinuates "take it or leave it".
