I think Kaoru-san is right. ご 出産 おめでとう ございます。(go shussan omedetou gozaimasu.) This is a polite way. The case of a friendly relationship・・・like this way.出産 おめでとう~!^^ (shussan omedetou~!^^) Do you use this sentence in the letter to your Japanese friend? You will surely be able to deliver your feelings to your friends. ^^
