/temere/ is a verb: to fear
/timore/ is a noun: fear
/timore/ e` simile a /paura/, puoi considerarlo una /paura/ leggera.
Esempi:
-- temo che piovera`
-- la mia figlia piccola ha molto timore dei cani
-- i gatti temono i cani (temere)
-- i gatti incutono timore alle lucertole e algi uccelli
-- i ricci non temono neanche le vipere
-- il terremoto fa paura a tutti (qui /timore/ non va bene)
L'aggettivo /timido/ ha la stessa radice di temere, entrambi vengono dal latino /timere/.
