If you cross a bridge, then burn it, you can't go back over that bridge again.

I think..it's mean once you have to make a decision or choice in the life, that can not turn back any more..^^

Idiom "burning bridges" means taking actions you can not return from, like, your relationship with people around you will never be the same again after you do that.
