I want to learn some Amharic
Hi I study Hebrew, Arabic and a little Aramaic, so I'm familiar with Semitic language patterns. I'm interested in Amharic language. I would also like to learn more about Ethiopian Christian and Jewish traditions. I look forward in learning more about Ethiopia's colorful culture and beautiful people.

Hello Natali,
If you are familiar to Arabic it won’t be that much challenging or time consuming to learn Amharic. Arabic and Amharic are actually quite related in some sort. For example the word Birtukan means orange in both Arabic and Amharic language. Although I don’t know Arabic I think I’m right in regards to this translation on the Arabic side. In Amharic though this is the translation (I’m a native that’s how I know).
