how to say " on Sep.3, 2012"?
“September three, twenty twelve"? Or " September three, two thousand twelve"? By the way, If I only write month, then can I write " in September"? Thank you very much!

On September the third, twenty twelve is also acceptable in UK English (which sounds like a keyboard but you know what I mean)

Most Americans would probably shorten it to "On September third, twenty twelve."
