How do you write 'I have been' in Modern Standard Arabic?
For context, I wish to say: I have been very busy at work.

لقد كنت = i have been
in arabic ( i have been and i was ) is the same all have the same meaning

It"s simple:
لقد كنت منشغلا جدا في العمل
'I have been' = لقد كنت or كنت
